To allow people to sign up, you first need to make sure that you actually allow this process within the main WordPress dashboard. By default, WordPress is set to not allow user registration. You can also assign different roles to new registrants within your WordPress site. For BuddyPress, you'll likely want to set your default user role to Subscriber or Contributor settings for maximum security. Set your membership settings to “Anyone can sign up” to allow BuddyPress to work properly.Once registered, each user is given their own profile and admin area to control. A new user can be added by the user themselves or by clicking the register button once instructed to do so. The screen below displays the login and register links in the bar at the top of your website. Using a little CSS, you can style these links to fit more closely with your website template. Users can also be added from the admin pane.
